Terms of use
Last updated 20 October 2026.
By creating a Smriti account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Smriti. Questions: support@smriti.study.
The service
Smriti is a study-management app: flashcards with spaced revision, tasks, planned study time, exams, progress tracking and deck sharing. We may improve, change or remove features over time.
Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Do not share your login.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or use Smriti with a parent or guardian's permission.
Free trial and subscription
- Every new account starts with a 15-day free trial. No payment is needed to start it.
- After the trial, a paid subscription is needed to keep adding and revising cards and using the other features. The current price and length are shown on the subscribe page.
- You pay by bKash, Nagad or Rocket and send us the transaction ID. Access starts when we confirm the payment, usually soon after. Subscriptions do not renew automatically, so you will never be charged without doing it yourself.
- If your trial or subscription ends, your account becomes read-only: you can still view and delete your content, and nothing is deleted because of it. Subscribing again restores full access.
- Payments are not refundable once confirmed, except where we made a mistake (for example a duplicate or wrong amount). Contact us within 7 days of the payment.
Your content
The cards, pictures and notes you create belong to you. You give us permission to store and display them as needed to run Smriti for you, and, for decks you choose to share, to show them to anyone with the link. You promise that you have the right to use what you upload and share.
Shared decks and acceptable use
Do not use Smriti to:
- share or store anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights (for example copying a textbook or a paid course in full);
- harass others, or share other people's private information;
- attack, overload or probe the service, bypass limits or the payment system, or use it to send spam;
- create accounts by automated means.
We may remove a shared deck, suspend an account or end access if these rules are broken or if we receive a valid complaint. We will tell you why when we reasonably can.
Availability and your data
We work to keep Smriti running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable. Please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Limits of our responsibility
Smriti is a study aid. We do not promise particular exam results. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your account
You can stop using Smriti at any time. To close your account and delete your data, emailsupport@smriti.study from the address on your account.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Smriti after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction over any dispute.
